The Science….

Shape and Tone Aesthetics uses the Lipofirm Pro. This is a non surgical treatment that targets the fat cell through advanced and safe technologies, combining RadioFrequency (RF) muscle stimulation and external pressure through the applicator head. The RF energy generates heat deep down in the subcutaneous layer (fat cells) and stimulates the metabolism of fat in the cell and the natural release of the liquid fat (waste fat).

The muscle stimulation then squeezes the waste fat into the lymphatic system and therefore can naturally leave the body. The heat from the RF focuses on the collagen fibres causing them to contract which results in immediate skin tightening, alongside the pressure from the applicator head the blood circulation is increased which in turn removes toxins. The result is reduced fat, tightened skin and cellulite reduction all in one treatment.

This treatment offers you an alternative way of shedding excess fat and toning your body shape without going to the gym or fad diets.

Your therapist will go through a consultation to make sure the treatment is suitable for you. The majority of people can have the treatment but a few medical conditions need to be considered before continuing. Your first visit will consist of what areas you want to target and establish whether a standard  or extended (larger area) treatment is required. Measurements/photos will be taken and you will then begin. A warm pressure is applied through the applicator head and you will feel a flicking sensation. This is an active treatment, you will feel it working!

Straight away! The area that has been stimulated will be breaking down fat and tightening the skin from the very first session, the results will continue with every treatment.

For optimum results a minimum of 4 to 8 treatments is required however everyone is different and you will be advised on a package tailor made for you.

The Lipofirm Pro is a’ work out on the couch’ so with that in mind your muscles may feel a bit achy the following day. You may experience a tingling sensation after the treatment and the area will be quite pink and warm but this all returns to normal within 24 hours. There is no down time after the treatment. You can carry on with your day to day routine.

During your course of treatment your therapist will be giving you support and advice for a healthy lifestyle. The holistic approach to this is to not eat in excess and drink plenty of water. These are excellent practices for you to continue after the treatments to maintain the results.
